Update Inventory — Functional Description

Companion inventory editor for real-time quantity, weight, dimension, and shelf-location overrides. Opened from pickPackVerifyOrders.php (popup with ?product_id=) or directly from the Inventory menu. Compare OpenCart catalog data against verified warehouse values, then submit corrections to oc_product including primary location and overstock location fields.

  • Product code search — enter a model number, MPN, or alternate MPN (custom field 21) and click View; lookup resolves model first, then MPN, then alternate MPN.
  • Manufacturer / product dropdowns — optionally filter by manufacturer, then select a product from the list (shows alternate MPN in parentheses when present).
  • OpenCart vs. Verified Data — review shelf, pick, pack, order, P/O, and marketplace totals in the OpenCart column; enter corrected values in the Verified Data column.
  • Update — shelf quantity changes invoke SetShelfQuantity() and write to pd_product_log; weight, dimensions, location, and overstock fields update oc_product directly.
  • Close — when opened as a popup from pick/pack, use the Close button to return to the parent screen.

When you adjust the Shelf Qty to represent what is actually on the shelf, the OpenCart Quantity is adjusted.
