Products Excluded from Special Sales — Functional Description

Standalone Inventory menu program for operators who must keep specific catalog items out of store-wide special sales. Rows in pd_special_sales_excluded_products are omitted by specialSale.php when previewing and creating offers. Operators add exclusions by exact Product ID or Model Code (a contextual match list appears only when a typed model is ambiguous), or by selecting products from a store/category cascade. Existing exclusions can be removed one product at a time. Product titles join oc_product_description with language_id = 1.

  • Enter a Model Code or Product ID and click Exclude Product. The script resolves a single catalog row and never dumps the full catalog into a picker.
  • Use the category cascade to view products in a department, then check the items that should stay off specials.
  • Delete a row from the excluded-products list to return that SKU to sale eligibility on the next special-sale preview or go-live.
  • Assignments are idempotent upserts on product_id so re-submitting the same SKU will not raise a unique-key conflict.
