Create/Edit Purchase Order

Standalone Inventory menu program that builds and edits purchase orders for one supplier at a time. Choose an existing PO in Editing status and/or an active supplier, then a manufacturer mapped to that supplier. View Products loads the catalog grid so staff can enter order quantities, review cost and turnover, and save the working purchase order.

How to use this cascading builder

• Supplier is the parent selector. Manufacturer options declare native data-parent lineage and are filtered in the browser without a page reload. Changing supplier immediately resets an invalid manufacturer choice.
• Time span drives quantity-sold / average columns (Week, Fortnight, Month, Quarter, Year).
• Sort method is whitelisted to values 1–8 (MPN, Qty Sold, Stock Notify, On PO, Wish List, In Stock, Model, Backordered). Default is Model (7).
• Check Add only preordered quantities into Order Qty when suggested order quantity should equal preorder demand.

Operational notes

• Enter a section number to view and edit a section. Save the PO before viewing a different section.
• Missing products: enabled products are displayed for manufacturers who are different than the supplier only if product costs are defined for the supplier.
• Alternate suppliers, outstanding POs, preorders, stock-notify, and wishlist drill-downs open in purchaseOrderPopup.php.
