Shipping Charges Analysis — Functional Description

Analyzes shipped OpenCart orders to compare customer shipping charges against actual carrier costs recorded in oc_order_shipping_cost. Profit is calculated as shipping charged minus shipping paid. Only orders with a non-zero recorded shipping paid value are included. Shipping method labels are normalized by trimming suffixes at an opening parenthesis, matching legacy grouping behavior.

Profit Status Row Legend (Section 3.4)

  • High Profit Profit greater than or equal to $2.00 — green row highlight (table-success)
  • Moderate Profit Profit between $1.00 and $1.99 inclusive — yellow row highlight (table-warning)
  • Low / Loss Profit strictly below $1.00 — red row highlight (table-danger)
  • Date range — optional Start Date and End Date boundaries filter on oc_order.date_added.
  • Weight range slider — dual-handle control auto-scales to the absolute minimum and maximum total product weight present in the active dataset (respecting the selected date range).
  • Profit range slider — dual-handle control auto-scales to the absolute minimum and maximum shipping profit (charged minus paid) present in the active dataset.
  • Shipping methods — multi-select narrows results to one or more normalized carrier methods; leave empty to include all methods.
  • Click any column header to sort; pagination retains all active filter and sort parameters.
